MyProxy is a Globus Toolkit component for managing certificates and private keys that combines an online credential repository with an online certificate authority to allow users to securely obtain credentials when and where needed for access to secure grid services. MyProxy is mature software that has been used by the grid community since 2000 in projects such as EGEE, EU DataGrid, Earth System Grid, FusionGrid, LHC Computing Grid, NASA Information Power Grid, NEESgrid, Open Science Grid, and TeraGrid. This session will provide an in-depth introduction to the latest version of the MyProxy software, highlighting new capabilities and describing novel uses of MyProxy in today's grids. Attendees will learn how to install and configure the MyProxy software and how to incorporate MyProxy functionality into their grid applications in support of a variety of usage scenarios.
