GridWorld Chairman Yang Qin Appointed Vice Chair of Chinese Society of Natural Resources Subcommittee

2025-02-05

Preface

On September 20, 2025, the Chinese Society of Natural Resources successfully convened its Subcommittee on Resource Big Data and Artificial Intelligence election and 2025 academic annual meeting in Hefei.

New Role, New Journey
Themed "Resource Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Serving the Development of New Quality Productive Forces," the conference brought together numerous experts and scholars from related fields across China to discuss cutting-edge technologies and development trends. GridWorld Chairman Yang Qin was invited to attend and was appointed Vice Chair of the subcommittee.

Discussing the Present, Planning for Development
Notably, the conference featured five specialized sub-forums, each delving into different research directions. At the sub-forum on "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Territorial Spatial Planning," Professor Yang Qin delivered a speech titled "Digitalization of Natural Resources and 3D Geological Modeling Technology."

He noted that high-precision 3D geological modeling is not only a core technology for the digital transformation of natural resources but also a critical support for enhancing the scientific rigor, precision, and foresight of territorial spatial planning. As digitalization advances, 3D geological modeling technology urgently needs to evolve toward greater efficiency, accuracy, integration, and visualization, while also strengthening capabilities for dynamic process simulation and multi-version evolution simulation.

Collaborating for Progress
As a leading domestic enterprise in geological modeling and 3D geoscience software R&D, GridWorld will continue to uphold its corporate mission: advancing geoscience modeling and simulation technologies and developing AI-driven Earth models to help humanity explore and understand the Earth, develop its resources, construct cities and infrastructure, and prevent natural disasters. At the same time, we sincerely call on industry peers and visionaries to join hands with us, collaboratively driving the innovation and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies. Through resource sharing and complementary strengths, we can collectively empower the scientific planning and sustainable development of territorial spaces.
